Factory MP3 player
I'm in the market for a MP3 player and if i just change out the head unit from a factory 6 disk CD changer to a factory 6 disk CD changer that is MP3 compatible, is it a plug and play effort or will there be rewiring involved. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I highly doubt it is complicated...It is probably as simple as unhooking wiring harness and plugging into new radio..I'm not positive though, I still have the factory 6disc with mp3.

im not forsure but ive changed out a lot of cd players in past cars and all it took was switching the harness and putting in a molding to fit the new player

I have the factory HU that claims to be MP3 compatible but to date, I haven't been able to get it to play an MP3 CD regardless of how I write it or what blank type I use.
