Re: TPMS very accurate!!!

That's weird. Mine usually trips the dash light when the pressure gets below 29 psi, not 35 psi.

I don't like to run the front tires at 40 psi. It makes the ride way too harsh with the crappy roads we have around here. Every road seems to be "under construction" in this area. I usually run 37.5 psi in the front tires and 33.5 psi in the rear tires.

The ride in my truck is alot smoother than my sisters Acura TL! LOL...so I wouldn't mind a speed bump....she has to friggin slow down so she don't bottom out.

How do you get the damn thing to turn off???? Came on when it was cold outside, but has 35 psi all around.

Re: TPMS very accurate!!!

Mine did the same thing. Temp[ down to 35 or so, light came on. checked pressures, all at 35psi. Raised them to 40 and the light went out.

Re: TPMS very accurate!!!

i believe that the TPMS monitors a difference in tire pressure. it knows when 1 or more are underinflated relative to the pressure of others. i think it has something to do with the different number of rotations that occurs with each tire of a different pressure.

i had all my tires at 35 but one dropped to 33 and my TPMS went off. it went off right when i arrived in Colorado from Missouri. there is a significant difference in altitude.
