Gas Mileage

Hello first time posting here so bare with any mistakes I might make. I just picked up an 04 Titan 4x2 SE last month the truck has 38,784k on it and is running great so far I love it. But my question is what is the average miles to the tank that you guys experience as far as I know the tank holds 28gallons right? Or is that only in the 2006 I havent payed attention to what it actually takes when I've been filling the tank. I'm lucky if im getting 260 miles to a tank and its getting quite expensive I'm currently 17 work part time and have a $300 car payment and its getting sort of expensive but nothing I'm extremely worried about. So what im basically trying to ask is what do you guys get on a full tank from when you fill it until you reach "E" basically. Thanks for you input

260 is a little more than I get before the light goes on (at about 23gal).

So you are getting about 12mpg I guess.

It's okay...I had a heavy foot at 17years old too.

I avg. 12 also know..pushing 20" rims and heavy BFG's...also dragging racks up above my shell.

You can go to search and check gas mileage. You will find out what you need.
Welcome to TT. I get about 15mpg around town and 17mpg highway.

I'm pretty sure the tank holds 26 gallons but I may be wrong. I usally end up with about a 20 gallon fillup with the gauge between 1/8 and 1/4 full. I normally get around 300 miles between fillups, mostly in-town driving so that gives me approx. 15mi/gal average.

The tank is 28 gallons. Aleast on my 2004

Alrighty thank you guys I was just wondering if I was bearing out alright as far as the gas mileage goes and miles to the tank. The truck is also a Crew Cab 4dr. so does that factor in with the play on gas mileage?

Welcome to the forum! All year models have a 28 gallon fuel tank. The low fuel light will illuminate when you have between 5-8 gallons left in the tank. Gas mileage varies depending on fuel quality, location, driving style and by individual Titans.

If your fuel light is turning on at 260 miles, you are averaging around 12-13 MPG. If were still 17 years old, I'm certain I would get the same or worse fuel mileage.
