Cai/Muffler ?

I just purchased a Fram Boost 2 CAI sytem, now Im looking to update my exhaust. If I just change my stock muffler w/ an aftermarket muffler would I gain anything or not. Dont know if I want dual exhaust yet.

Also Ive read that its best to change exaust when you get a CAI, and then Ive read that there is no need. Looking for some advice on what would be the best way to go. Im open to all suggestions. Thanks

yes. anytime you have more air coming in, you must be able to have more come out or it will not help. think of air flowing smoothly... if you have say 20% more flowing in, you must be able to have at least 20% more flow out, otherwise that 20% extra coming in gets slowed down and you have lost your gain. they really complement eachother. hope this makes sense cause i think i confused myself now lol.

i run a flowmaster single in single out and it performs/sounds awesome. K&N intake and AIRRAID t/b spacer compliment my exhaust....
