Installing OEM Nissan Chrome Nerf Bars

Has anyone installed or have the chrome OEM Nerf Bars (I believe the come standard on the Texas Titan).

How is the chrome holding up? Are they pitting or rusting?

How hard is it to install the OEM Nerf Bars?

I had installed Westins on my KC but now have a CC. Is the install similar?

Thanks,

George

Re: Installing OEM Nissan Chrome Nerf Bars

It took me 45 minutes to an hour... took my sweet time and did not want to scratch the steps by dropping them. I was alone. Quality is excellent. I have had them 10 months and live 2 miles from the ocean and no sign of pitting, I have not done a good job of keeping them clean (the whole truck for that matter).

Hope that helps!

The nissan dealers have them. They are "standard" on Texas Titans.

that's not too bad. My 20% off guy quoted me $520, and our local dealer was $580 + tax.

Re: Installing OEM Nissan Chrome Nerf Bars

Well I got my steps today but they didn't come with any instructions. Is there any place on the web that that I can download the installation instructions for OEM Nerf Bars? It looks simple enough - I fitted everything together on the floor of my garage, but haven't looked under my truck yet to see where the studs and holes are - it's 35 degrees and raining for the next day or say.

Thanks!

3 studs per side...there are 6 holes per side...about an inch or so apart...only three are used, depending on where you want the steps to go...the holes are covered by plastic plugs.

Easy install...

Thanks for the quick reply.

Just to make sure I understand what you wrote - that there are 3 studs - one for each bracket - that are on the truck so I just use the nuts that were supplied with the nerf bars. Then there should be a threaded hole adjacent to the stud so I use the bolts that came with the nerf bars.

Is that right?

Thanks again!

Re: Installing OEM Nissan Chrome Nerf Bars

i just removed my factory gray looking steps to see how it looks without them but my plan is to either strip and polish (some else on this board had done that and they looked great) or i will paint them a flat black to try and match the factory black plastics.
