Howdy!

Well, I was originally just waiting for 07 Frontiers to find out if they were going to do the long bed option, which they did, but after test driving it, I just wasnt quite where I wanted to be, it's a really nice truck but not quite what I wanted... so I took the Titan out. That pretty much sealed my fate

Today I took home my 07 LE CC 4x4, Smoke. I was really kinda debating if I should wait until they had one in Majestic Blue and with a sun roof, but I like the lighter color to hide dirt and scuffs an such, and the sun roof is nice, but it's not really worth waiting a couple months for me.

I've done a little searching and reading on the banks exhaust, and I'm going to keep looking into that as well as what my intake options are, and I'm sorta half way entertaining a lift kit. Always open to suggestions there, and I do try to find my own way, but please forgive if I ask a newb question here and there when I start getting into those mods a little later.

Anyone want to buy a 94 bmw? Still going to keep my Ninja though, Truck will be daily driver 3 or 4 times a week, but I just love lane splitting to much to quit cold turkey. Haha awesome, a ninja smiley!

So anyway, I'm from Phoenix, but now I live in Vista CA (socal) and thats about inbetween SD and LA roughly for those unfamiliar with Cali. Glad I found a Titan board thats so active and has so many knowledgeable folks, I've got a lot of catch up reading to do!

What part of Vista? I live between Mar Vista and Sycamore.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks all for the welcomes, and thats pretty wild, I used to be over there too, I had an apt in Sycamore Greens on Sycamore and Watson, now I'm just a couple miles up the road at Vista Village and 78, straight up the road from Lowes basically.

Re: Howdy!

Welcome to TT. HOWDY!!
Cmon people, HOWDY DAMMIT!! lol

There are plenty of great exhaust systems and intakes for the Titan. I have the Volant cool air intake and Volant stainless steel exhaust system. Check out the Performance forum and you will find plenty of info on exhausts. Here is a thread of mine with a review with pix and videos of my Volant exhaust. Like I said, you have plenty of options for intakes, exhausts, and other mods!! Let the modding begin!!

haha thats great! I looked at those when they opened the models, sooooo very nice!

I've been in car/bike purgatory for the whole time in Cali so far since '99 I dont have any idea why I waited so long to just take the dive and get back into what I really loved doing in Phx, but in hindsight now I'm kind of glad I did wait, Titan is a kick *** truck and the one I got will do what I need for a long long time! If I'd been looking to do this a few years ago, I'd be stuck with 2 or 3 more years payments on something thats maybe 25% of what I wanted it to be!~

Being as how the trucks are still pretty much brand new I doubt I can offer much help with wrenching (not that I'm a maestro by any stretch of the imagination) my expertise died with my 67 rustang and after a couple bmw's I found it was a lot easier to pay someone to do work then cuss and stare at my own broken knuckles, apparently time heals all old wounds since now I'm shopping for mods! but, I'm only 5 minutes away if you need an extra set of hands getting something into the bed of the truck lol

I hear that, I've had close to 20 vehicles over the past 8 years. Drove my wife nuts, however the Titan is virtually the only vehicle that she really digs. Score!

Thanks man. '67 Mustang, eh? I had one of those, sold it like an idiot back around 2000.

'67 fastback, 351w with Alan Root aluminum heads, Crane cam, roller rockers, electronic ignition, long-tube headers, Maier racing suspension, aluminum driveshaft, fiberglass hood...ahhh, miss that car.

Sold the Mustang to buy this. '47 Willys CJ-2A, Bronco 302 v8 and C5 auto, D44 rear, locked front

That was the end of the "fun" vehicles for a while, sold it back in 2001 after I was laid off. In the past year, though, I've gone from an '00 Mustang GT to an '04 G35 to my '05 Titan. Going to stick with the Titan for a long time.

Catch you on the flip side!

Re: Howdy!

Nice fast back! mine had the sprint 6, jeez fuzzy memory here, 180hp from a 200ci engine?? at least back in 67. When I got it in 86 it was pushing close to 300k miles on it and I'm pretty sure it had suffered some "loss in performance"

The one cool thing it did have was the in hood turn signals. My brother has a 67 also and his has the bench seat, I pretty much abandoned mine in Az at grandparents and they dumped it on a friend of theirs who wanted to restore it because the city was mad at them for the eyesore lol. I really wish though i'd been able to give that hood to him because those were both rare options for 67, and to have one with both!!!! Oh well, he'll have to make due with his bench seat!

I did the jeep thing too! before i went into the Corps I had a 74 CJ5 that was just crazy customized, I ended up selling it back to the guy who built it and he told me that he'd been trying to find it for a long time, guess he and his neighbor went ape**** on fixing up 2 jeeps and he was just looking to get either of them back after all those years. I never did any serious off roading with it, but it was a lot of fun to just go messing around in the desert or the forest with. Sold it before I left and figured it was for the best, but man I wish I'd kept it, then again, I turned around and sank that money into a 75 chevy stepside and those were pretty damn hot back then! Oh well
