Re: Warranty valid in Germany??

When I was on the Frontier owners group a couple of years ago there was a serviceman who had an issue while living in England and Nissan wanted to weasel out of it. What an aweful way to treat someone in his position.
All you can do is call and be firm. Good luck.

Re: Warranty valid in Germany??

It may depend on the mfr. I know Land Rover will go to great lengths to take care of their customers under warranty. Someone imported a Range Rover to a country where they had no dealers and ended up having a problem with the A/C. Land Rover flew a tech out to him and stayed for 2 weeks while the problem was diagnosed, parts were shipped and then replaced.

Re: Warranty valid in Germany??

According to the 2006 warranty manual:

http://www.nissanusa.com/owning/warr...nloadable.html

This warranty is provided to the original and subsequent
owner(s) of a Nissan vehicle originally distributed by Nissan
which is originally sold by a Nissan authorized Nissan
dealership in the United States, and which is registered in
the U.S. and normally operated in the United States (including
Alaska and Hawaii), the United States territories
(specifically Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, Puerto Rico
and the U.S. Virgin Islands), and Canada.

■ Your Nissan vehicle is manufactured to meet U.S. regulations
and environmental requirements. With the exception
of privately owned vehicles belonging to members of
the U.S. military or employees and officers of the United
States Government stationed abroad, this warranty does
not apply if an otherwise covered vehicle is operated in, or
relocated to, a country other than those listed above
under this caption, except that it continues to apply if the
vehicle is operated in full compliance with its proper use
as described in the applicable OWNER’S MANUAL2 while
touring outside of the United States, the U.S. territories or
Canada for a period not exceeding sixty (60) consecutive days
or sixty (60) days in any one 12 month period. Subject to the
transferability restriction described above, this warranty applies
to a relocated vehicle which is returned to, and is registered
and normally operated in the United States, the U.S.
territories or Canada, except for conditions due to the vehicle’s
foreign operation, e.g., use of inappropriate fuels or other
fluids.
