Tonneau Cover

I just got my titan and want to get a hard tonneau cover. Any suggestions? I would like one that is easy to remove so I can put my atv in.

Use the SEARCH feature. There are tons of threads on tonneau/tonno covers.

Re: Tonneau Cover

I know that hard tonneau covers look nice but are you going to be using your ATV a lot? if so you may want the soft cover so you can just roll it up unless you have a good place to store the hard cover. I know when I had the hard cover sometimes it was a pain but with the soft cover I just roll it up and go.

Again like they said a lot of places for parts check the web. I am not at home right now but have a good site the usually gives you differnet brands on all types of parts for your titan. If I remember I will post it when I get home.

Re: Tonneau Cover

Well in hunting season I use my bike alot but after hunting season january-october I will be shooting bowfishing tournaments and want to be able to put my bows, gear, and clothes in back of the truck so my team can ride without the clutter. I may get a soft one but how do the soft ones mount, what does it look like when you take it off?

Re: Tonneau Cover

A tri or quad fold hard cover may be a good bet also.

The thing is they only make them for the Titan crew cabs. Originally, I wanted to get one of those until I found out you can't get one for a Titan KC. So, instead I got a Leer 700-series hard tonneau cover for $750. However, I wouldn't want to be constantly taking it on and off to load stuff in my bed though.

Re: Tonneau Cover

I say LazerLite, no other choice!

I was one of those people who had their heart set on an Undercover, and after Mark Kidder of VersaCover/Undercover yanked my chain for well over a year promising me a version for the Kig Cab I finally told him to take a hike.

I too wanted a hard cover for security, I do not like the folding kind, had to have something that would keep the bed dry, and I wanted to be able to take in on and off by myself. I got the LazerLite on a group buy here and I'm 1,000% happy with it. I will admit it is easier to take on and off with another set of hands, but I have done it myself a couple of times, you just have to be slow and methodical and put down lots of soft stuff to protect the edges. In fact the last time I did it in the middle of my front lawn and the soft grass worked perfect.

If you do a search for LazerLite you will find a few threads, it seems everybody who has one likes it a lot; I know I do.

I just got my undercover and love it. Did a ton of research and this is what I bought and don't regret it one bit. Very useful, light, easy to remove and works with my utilitrac(had to put them upside down). I bought the CC one but the KC is available right now. A buddy just ordered one cause they finally make it for them. Do a search on tonneau's first and you'll find a ton of useful info here.

Re: Tonneau Cover

You also might want to try the RETRAX( retractable cover ), was told in SEMA that they are working on a remote controlled / electric Retrax to be out by 1st quarter next year....

Also the SNUGTOP is a good option, they had them at SEMA with a Linear actuator with a remote as an option....

If you have the utilitrack rails, the Truxedo lowpro mounts very easily.

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/atta...g?d=1139188544

Consider that you do take the ATV and you are camping or away from your vehicle, once you unload the ATV you can then roll the soft top to cover your bed and keep the rest of your gear dry when raining. It also somewhat secures your gear as it is out of sight.

I debated hard vs. soft, and went with the soft top. If I am hauling something tall, I roll it up. I feel the Truxedo lowpro is the way to go with utilitrack equipped trucks. Unlike a hard top, I don't have to dork around with removing and storing the top when hauling.

If you were to go with a hard rollaway type top, it does take up some bed room and you might not want to have your ATV banging against it. I don't know if the amount of space taken up would be enough that would force you to keep your tailgate down with the ATV loaded.

Should you decide on a hard top, then I would go with the Lazerlite from a weight and style standpoint, but you would loose the convenience of having a cover when the ATV is unloaded.
