Train Horn

I want to put a more manly horn on my titan. Do they have any deep loud horns that don't need compressors? Anyone put any horns with compressors?

Re: Train Horn

I got a copcar/firetruck speaker off ebay for about 40 bux and then an siren amp for another 50. the amp has several choices including the very loud air horn noise they often use going through intersections. mounted the speaker in front of the tranny cooler and the amp under the passenger seat. Very loud. don't ever use the siren selections. I like to add to the racket when a fire truck is going through an intersection. my next move is to mount another speaker I have to the rear to blow directly at jackess's who honk at me from the rear. use big wire for supplying power to the amp and speaker.

Re: Train Horn

i installed a train horn on my truck a few months ago. out of all the mods i put on my truck, my train horn is my favorite. i have a blast with this thing. it's loud as hell. i purchased my horn from hornblasters.com. mine came with four horns, tubing, and compressor. i paid about 450 bucks. i started a thread a while ago and uploaded pictures of my horn and where i put everything. do a search of my threads and you will see it.

It's even better to see peoples reactions when that sound comes from a 99 VW jetta equipped with two horns scavanged from a fire apparatus. people see the compressor, tank and batt in the truck and think I have bags or something.
