I have no idea where to begin. My local news stations won't help me untill I contact the dealer and I have no idea what to say to the managers when/If I go down there.
I appreciate the post and everyones help, and I'm sorry for whatever trouble I've stirred up.
Especially BKW, I misunderstood you and I'm sorry for not calling you last nite when I couldn't get a scanned copy of the paperwork, I assumed when you said I could fax it to you if I couldn't get it scanned yesterday that this morning would be ok.

To set the record straight
I had a phone conversation with Just-In on Thursday night. I made it plain to him that I needed the paperwork emailed to me sometime Friday morning.
I also suggested he have his grandmother contact the news media...as I felt she would have a better chance getting results, as the news media usually doesn't like to see older folks get taken advantage of...especially by car dealers.
Today around 11:30 AM PST, he phoned...and asked if he could send me the contract...I asked him why he didn't do this Friday...his response was.."I couldn't get a clear copy."

I find it absurd that he should need to go to the dealer prior to the news media getting involved. They knew from the moment he signed on the dotted line that they were taking advantage of him. It's not like he's going to tell them something new. I'd still call an attorney to get advice on what to negotiate for. If it was me I'd want all the extra money back plus sonething extra for the grief like a FREE 72 month 100,000 mile extended warranty.
Some may say if he gets the money alone he's in good shape. I say if this gets on the 6 o'clock news, a free warranty would still be cheap for the dealer.
I still say this borders on they broke the law and are liable to make restitution.
All this crap (car dealers) boils my blood and from back when I was in my twenties had a big mouth service writer in a Ford dealership open his mouth to me and I beat the living crap out of him, he was fired and the police wouldn't let him press charges against me because he started it. So, I'd love to hear that Just-in got all his money back and then some.
Clint

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.
My apologies for the delay--it could not be helped. I did not try to print the webshot but as all can see, it is much more clear than the fax.
Since you guys (BKW and Just-in) are both in CA, making a copy of the original and dropping it in the mail may be the best.
At a minimum, the BBB should be contacted.

OK>>>this is the last time I'm typing anything here.
Clint..you are wrong, Sir...there is no cooling off period once the contract is signed when buying a car in CA. Justin is stuck as a bug in a rug..on everything on that contract he signed (by CA law) except the two issues listed below.
The only two things that I see on WhiteLE's posting of the contract link that may help Justin...is he can cancel the extended warranty...and the dealer appears to have double charged him for the tax (it's what's not on the contract that makes me suspicious). I have spoken by phone with Justin a little while ago..he's aware of what's going on.
Please fellow members: If you are not aware of California laws regarding sales contracts...please don't type suggestions here...because Justin is sad enough...and filling him with false hopes isn't helping.
First we're going to see what can be done..Justin and his family will need to get the media involved...he might have hope there...might not.
is it illegal to have a tape recorder in my pocket recording any conversations with the manager when I do go to the dealer to give to the CBS 5 and 7 on your side people?
I've never heard anything about that being illegal.
I believe there might be rules about taping phone conversations but I'm not sure...

Cal. Penal Code §§ 631, 632: It is a crime in California to intercept or eavesdrop upon any confidential communication, including a telephone call or wire communication, without the consent of all parties.
It is also a crime to disclose information obtained from such an interception. A first offense is punishable by a fine of up to $2,500 and imprisonment for no more than one year. Subsequent offenses carry a maximum fine of $10,000 and jail sentence of up to one year.
Eavesdropping upon or recording a conversation, whether by telephone (including cordless or cellular telephone) or in person, that a person would reasonably expect to be confined to the parties present, carries the same penalty as intercepting telephone or wire communications.
Conversations occurring at any public gathering that one should expect to be overheard, including any legislative, judicial or executive proceeding open to the public, are not covered by the law.
An appellate court has ruled that using a hidden video camera violates the statute. California v. Gibbons, 215 Cal. App. 3d 1204 (1989). However, a television network that used a hidden camera to videotape a conversation that took place at a business lunch meeting on a crowded outdoor patio of a public restaurant that did not include "secret" information did not violate the Penal Code's prohibition against eavesdropping because it was not a "confidential communication." Wilkins v. NBC, Inc., 71 Cal. App. 4th 1066 (1999).
Anyone injured by a violation of the wiretapping laws can recover civil damages of $5,000 or three times actual damages, whichever is greater. Cal. Penal Code § 637.2(a). A civil action for invasion of privacy also may be brought against the person who committed the violation. Cal. Penal Code § 637.2.

No you didn't get Ripped, you got SCREWED! Hope you got it worked out. If not, I hope you're young enough to chalk it up as a "life's learning experience".
They even suckered you to get a $2.4K Maintenance Plan. Bet if you read it it only covers oil changes. As mentioned hopefully the media will shine some light on their bad practices and they will do the right thing in light of the bad publicity.

After reading some other "Ripped" threads including your original post, I don't think you got ripped to the extent that even I thought at first, except for the the interest rate and all the extra add ins. Although not the best copy, check your Federal Truth in Lender Disclosure box. That is your bottom line. You're financing over $20K, add $5K for finance charges which means you're financing over $25K. With payments of 425.02 for 60 months your total is what they say you are financing. (For some comparison - I'm paying $550 x 60 months at 5.5% for a little over $31K.)
You must be fairly young. Ford raised my "bottom" line once (on my wife's purchase) to show she was paying more that she actually was. That included her down payment as well. They doubled her downpayment to $5k and raised the price of the auto the same amount. They said by doing this Ford Financing would grant the loan and the interest rate would be much lower. "It gave Ford Financing the illusion that my wife was putting down a large down payment."
I said you must be fairly young because it now looks like they done somewhat the same thing to you because you must not have had much establish credit or good credit, hence the high interest rate. I still don't like how they wrote it up.
In the end, like what was posted you should have only financed no more than probably $11.5K to $12K.
