It had snowed today and since it's the first time I have had my Titan on snowy streets I thought I'd see how the brakes worked. Not well. The front brakes grabbed and made a "pop pop pop" sound, and put me into a skid. When I got to dry pavement, it didnt' react that way, all was fine. So are the anitlocks not working or is there another problem?

Actually that is the ABS working....Big heavy truck, slick roads, require delicate braking.....Good luck and awesome avatar...#3 is # 1....
RNP is right its your ABS working, the pop pop noise is the pump on the abs

Should it be making that noise though. I mean it's reall loud!
Yeah it can be loud at times....Don`t let the Titan give you a false sense of security on slick roads, it is an awesome truck but it has to stop like any other vehicle...Good Luck...
out of curiosity, how does the abs tell the difference from being stopped and sliding with the wheels locked up?

It shouldn't be a POP POP POP sound though. It also shouldn't be loud....at least not so loud that you'd be concerned. It should sound and fell more like a groaning noise as the ABS pumps the brakes.
