Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

I have decided to go with a tonneau cover on my new Titan and these seem to be the two most popular brands in my area. Anyone have any feedback, both positive or negative on either?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

Either one is great but I don't think those vinyl last long and not really secure. That was my major concern so I decided to go with the hard top tonneau. I was lucky to have one of the members here selling his ARE LSII Series with half the price while I was on the market for hard tonneau cover. It cost me $300 for the color match but still cheaper buying it brand new. The paint shop did a great job on the color match and it looks like brand new when I got it.
Very light since it's made of fiber glass, easy to remove and it only takes about 5 minutes to put it back on. Just a thought for you!

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

I have the access lorado, very nice low profile and great design. The only bad thing is the way it sits in the bed, I have the utilitrack and bed extender. I can still use it but I have to take it out of the bed to turn it around, no biggie. Great cover and great warrenty.

I'm sorry about the lemon. Good luck with the next vehicle that you choose.

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

I had My Access on my truck for almost 2 years now! Nothing remotely bad to say about it! It's affordable, easy to use, secure enough ( basically if the thieves want it that bad they will get it anyway), and since I haul alot of big stuff like quads etc... very fast and simple way to roll up to front of bed.

Truxedo LowPro.

1. Metal lever for release instead of a string.
2. Utilitrack mounting. No drilling.
3. Lifetime warranty including velcro.
4. Streamlined look.

See thread:

Truxedo wins over Access

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

I prefer the no drill option of the Truxedo I think. Plus it'll probably be easier to install with the Utilitrack stuff.

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

I had my Access cover for almost two years. Still looked like new.

Access covers an be mounted in the Utilitrack rail, or can be screwed in just above it, so you can still use your track for the extender, divider, etc.

I have the truxedo lo pro....luv it.......

I highly recommend it! Easy to use, doesn't break the bank account either. I found mine online for $335 last May.

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

Extang BlackMaxx. It was cheap enough and works good (plus left me money for my volant ss EXHAUST AND 2" LEVEL KIT) Works with the utilitrack. www.autoanything.com has a bunch of good ones. Lot's of holiday sales right now and the shipping was actually quick.. go figure.

Re: Access Or Truxedo Tonneau?

Another vote for the Access Lorado! It's my second Access cover and I've never had an issue with either one.

I screwed/bolted mine to the bed so I have full access to the Utilitracks. It took a bit longer to install but I'm very happy with it.

True you have to drill the Access cover, but you have full use of the tracks. The Truxedo bolts into the track and seriously limits your ability to use the track system. That's why I chose the Access Lorado and have been very pleased.

And the Lorado doesn't use a string to release the cover (as someone insinuated above). There is a plastic lever that accomplishes this task.
