Arrow DFW Timing Advance

Hey Dallas and Ft. Worth guys -

I'm in a group that pitched in to buy the software and we take turns with it. I'll probably have to wait until Jan. until it is my turn to use it. We'll I think I lost my timing advance because, like an idiot, I let my truck run out of gas and I can tell my precious advance is gone and I don't think I want to wait till Jan to get it back.

To the best of my knowledge I am not aware of any dealer in the DFW area that is willing to do the timing advance and if they did I wouldn't want to pay their prices.

I'm thinking I'm going to bone up and buy the Cipher Hardware and Software but I wanted to guage local interest in folks that would like to have the timing advance done for $25 to help ease some of my costs.

Please respond or PM me if you are interested.

Landman

Running out of gas will not lose your timming advance. Once set, it's set unless you reflash it back to stock.

It feels like it did. It pinged and knocked quite a bit before she ran out. Are you sure the ecu wouldn't re-adjust?

Oh well, I will find out for myself soon enough.

My cost basis was much lower back then since I went in with a bunch of guys to buy it.

I hope it is still working well for you.

From my understanding, after talking with a local dealership that does these modifications......... They told me the ECU will correct for all situations but will eventually adjust back to the setting of the 2* advance. Once it's set, it's set. You don't have to put it back in each time power is loss.

Re: DFW Timing Advance

OK Gents,

I just bought it online. They are sending it here via priority mail so hopefully it will come toward the end of this week or the beginning of next. I will put together a list of you guys that are interested and send you pms so we can coordinate!

If anyone else is interested PM me because I don't always get a chance to check the threads.

You are gonna love the advance! Ask anyone who's had it done.

Landman
