A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

I just wanted to let everyone know that we got about a foot of snow here in northern IL today and the Titan destroyed it!

I've never had a 4wd before, so I have no comparison. I can say I saw a lot of other vehicles including a 4x4 Dodge Ram, stuck today, and I was just trying to find stuff to run through because this truck could not be stopped.

Good times!

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

About a foot here in Aurora as well. Took the Titan across the street into the retention pond (I know, bad boy) and really let loose. It is a huge bowl shaped area that is almost as large as 4 soccer fields. Up and down the sides and all over the base and not a bit of trouble in 4WD. Without 4WD I would still be at the bottom of the exit slope.

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

We had about 14 inches one day and another 6 the other night.. so about 20" of snow in this past week...

First time I had my Titan in the Snow and it worked really well.. I was very happy with it . The ABLS worked very well in these conditions.

I traded my Jeep Cherokee in for the Titan and feel a lot more comfortable driving the Titan in the snow.

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

I have had it in deep snow quite a few times. The only casualties were the taped on mud flaps.

We got DUMPED on here in Abbotsford...and you heard about the "freak snow" between Sumas and Mt. Lehman ..Titan had NO PROBS....but as per another active thread DON"T TRY TO KICK THE SNOW OFF YOUR FENDERS IF YOU GOT EM.

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

Yep busted out the Titan to go pick up my brother in law from the train (we ONLy had 11 inches here in Elgin, not like the 12 you lucky bastards got in Aurora!!!!!!!)

had a 2 ft plus drift coverinf half the driveway and i had to drop her into 4 LO when i came home, but man she will plow through anything......saw a f250 plow in the ditch on Randall along with a cargo van. VDC+ 4x4= extreme traction..... I have an uphill drive that i back into to fit into the garage...so 4HI i was spinning all 4 when it hit the drift, dropped her into 4 LO and powered right trough it......2 years old and still loving her like the day she was new.......

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

I can't wait for the snow here on the East Coast. I miss being near Erie PA and having tons of snow. I'll just have to watch all the people around Maryland try to drive in the snow as I go rolling by in the Titan.

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

Last winter I towed my snowmobile trailer down an unplowed seasonal road in northern Michigan. The snow was 36" to 4 feet deep, all powder. I had snow over the hood. 25mph in 4wd down the road until I could find enough space to turn it around. Didnt dare stop forward motion, but my buddy and I were impressed with the Titans ability to become its own snow plow for about 700 yards each way. The truck does do very well in snow. I have owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 2 Dodge Ram one ton duallys and a GMC 3500 one ton dually all 4X4's. The Titan is one of the better off road trucks in the white stuff.

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

I agree the Titan is good in the snow but it's not unstoppable . Check these pics out . OK , technically the snow didn't stop me but...

Re: A foot of snow and Titan prevails!

I was embarassed that my friend in his Ridgeline had to pull me out. It did make me feel better that he had trouble in this other area that I had no problem with. I'll upload those other pics of me getting pulled out tonight.
