Totalled???

So i had a blowout and got slung into a guard rail then into the other on the other side. By looking at pics how much damage would you guess. Do you think its totalled?? It's an 05 SE w/46000k. Book Value is about 18k. I just want to see what you guys think.

Re: Totalled???

you can never tell if a truck is totaled by pics if the front axle is bent or broken thats a whole nother ball game...

my mother was driving my lexus in a parking lot and some one ran a stop sign and it just looked like a fender bender 1/4 as bad as yours...... turns out there was extreme damage in the under carriage the whole body was torqued and twisted off the cassis and not to mention the engine damage! but the lexus lx450 did have 160k on it so that might have had an impact

looked like a 2k repair and ended up being totaled... which led to my baby titan.. so it turned out ok

Re: Totalled???

Yeah not sure what damages are underneath if any but from pictures alone I doubt it will get totaled. I've seen damage worst than that get fix.

Re: Totalled???

Whether or not it's declared a total loss depends on how much money it's worth, and how much money it will take to fix. So if the cost of repairs is greater than a certain percentage of the value, it's a total loss.

Re: Totalled???

usually ins. companies us 80% of the value as a total threshold, if it can be adjusted if you prove all your add-ons increase the value

now there's an idea... get some glass fronts, ram air hood, and nice custom pre-runner front bumper... makes me wanna go looking for some unsuspecting guard rails...

Yeah, I hear it's bad news when you bend the front axle of a Titan.
