Question Need to know-Timing advance

i have one question, maybe answered before but i cannot find
1) after its done to your vehicle-does it remain there for good- or if u reset your ecu does it delete its self or does it remain???

Resetting ECU will not delete it, unhooking your battery for a long period of times will.
