You have another remote, dont you? Might I suggest you use it and lock it. After all you will need it to get back in. . .

Re: Door Lock while warming up

I bought one of those key chains that seperate just for that reason. I of course put my key on one side and the remote on the other. If I have to go back inside for anything I just take the remote with me.

Ditto. A couple bucks at your local Mal-Wart and your set.

Never happened to me. I warm mine up every morning for about 5-10 minutes.

Re: Door Lock while warming up

It hasn't locked on me before but I am still paranoid that one of these times it will and I won't be near my house to get the spare.

Re: Door Lock while warming up

I don't think the doors auto lock when the key is in the ignition. I too have warmed the vehicle sometimes for 15 min.

But I could be wrong.

Re: Door Lock while warming up

They lock if the doors are closed, but if anyone of them is open then they don't until you put it into drive.

Thumbs up Re: Door Lock while warming up

Add a remote start. That way all you have to do is hit a button to start it and the doors will stay locked.
