Well I am wanting to buy a slightly used 4x4 titan under 35000 miles, and preferrably under $26000. I want an LE, probably a crew cab, and I was wondering what thoughts any of you had. It would probably have to be an 05 because the 06s are still too expensive for that mileage range, and I dont want to get an 04 because I dont want to get the first model year. Ive noticed that 04 and 05 Titans have had some pretty big brake issues, and was wondering what all of your thoughts were-- (overall, not just the brake problems) --any advice would be great. Thanks.
Drive it around about 10 min. If there is brake dust all over the front rims, it doesnt have the brake upgrade. Make sure you look at the rear axle seals at the rear rotor just to make sure there are no leaks there. If you find anything wrong with it make sure they fix it BEFORE you sign any paper work. They will try to get you to sign then fix but dont do it. If they cant fix it, it will be your problem and not theirs. I had that happen with an explorer I was going to buy 5 years ago. The AC was out on it and they wanted me to buy it and promised to fix it. I told them no fix it first so they tried and when I tested it after the fix it went out again. They tried again and the same thing. I finally said forget it and moved on. But I wouldnt have been able to if I signed the papers. Sorry for the book. Best of luck and welcome to the board!

Do some really through searching for the used ones, you might be surprised. Before I bought mine, I found a used, 6000 miles '06 CC LE 4x4 absolutely LOADED in Smoke color. I serioulsy don't think there was one available option it didn't have. 26 grand. I found it one night, called the next morning and it was gone. Moral of the story, you might be able to find a great deal if you're not in a hurry and you do the requisite research. Be ready to pull the trigger if you do find it because it won't last long. Best of luck.

Buy mine for $27,000 Already modd'ed just under 25k miles. Good luck with whatever you do. The only real problems with these trucks are the squeeks, brakes, and rear diffs and those are intermittent.

I was picking up my truck at the Nissan dealer today, and I noticed that they still had 2 lifted CC Titans that were on the lot a year ago when my buddy bought his Titan CC.
Maybe you should shop for a leftover truck that the dealer wants to sell really bad, like the ones I saw today.
The other gig would be to find a leftover loaded LE. The salesman I bought my SE from told me they were cutting 8000 bucks off the LE CC's to move them off the lot. So maybe there is a deal like that out there too.

Integrity is someting you cannot buy. You either have it, or you don't. You do not want to not have it.

Your local Nissan dealer can run the VIN and determine what warranty work has been performed....you should get a Carfax Report also...that will tell you if the truck has had body work, is a salvaged vehicle, or has had other reportable work.
If you buy from a private party, have your local Nissan vehicle check out the truck throughly... a few bucks spent having that service done, may save you thousands in repairs down the road.
Okay, now that I know how to go about it so I dont get screwed on the brake recall, how do you all like your Titans? I've looked at some used 2005 and up Ford F250s because I really like the looks of them, with a v10 or a 6.0 so it has some power, but haven't fully made up my mind. Again, any advice will be appreciated.
Go over to fordtrucks.com You can find out about all the misery's the F250 has...I wouldn't consider driving an F250 daily...the ride is harsh without it towing something.
Should be able to find a Titan CC under $26K easily.
As far as the F250 - great truck but silly to get it unless you are hauling a lot. The F250 is in a diff class than the F150 or Titan which is good and bad depending on what you want it for. Can't hold a match to a diesel's hauling power and efficiency. But the ride sucks *** (front leaf springs....).
