Painted Engine Covers

I've only been on the forum a couple of weeks now, and I'm sure this was covered before but I'm asking anyway.
I've seen some really great looking painted engine covers and I would really like to know what paint products you used?
Any application issues?

Thanks!!

Re: Painted Engine Covers

Here's one of the first on here (that I'm aware of) to paint his cover. Good thread. Lots of info on there.

Re: Painted Engine Covers

Just remember, a rattle can in the wrong hands has a tendency of ruining perfectly good nissan parts.

Cool Re: Painted Engine Covers

Thanks for the replies and the PM's too.
Several great ideas on the board.

Dupli-color customer service recommend engine paint due to the heat.
Krylon Fusion however seems to be the top contender. I figure that if it gets that hot, it would cause problems with the cover anyway.

Now for just a few days to complete the project.

Thanks again.
