stability control traction system?

I recently bought an 06 Titan 4x4 Crew Cab with the Big Tow Package. I know about the bigger radiator, tow mirriors, springs, temp gauge, etc; but does it have stablility/traction control system?

If so what does the stability/traction control do? How does it work?

Thanks

Re: stability control traction system?

If you have a VDC button next to the Tow Mode button then you have traction and stability control, otherwise all you have is ABLS which tries to work like a limited-slip but doesn't do a very good job from what I hear.

VDC, if you have it (It has a button), is traction control (Limits/cuts throttle) and stability control (Applies brakes at specific corners of the vehicle to try and keep the truck from spinning out).

It IS an open differential...it just uses the ABS system to help. It doesn't work like a true LSD but it does help some.
