Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

I don't think Yakima makes an application for the Titan unless it has come out in the past week or so. I say this because I was looking for one and spoke with both Yakima and Thule on the phone. I wound up with a Defender roof rack from 4X4Parts.com.

Pic is below. Perhaps your talking about one that mounts above the bed of your truck? If so, I'm not that familiar with them.

Regards,

John

Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

Hey John! I meant the basket itself that goes on the racks! I do have the truck overhead sliding racks and I am interested in getting a basket to go on top of it, but on the Titan brochure it has only the Loadwarrior listed and I would like to find out if the Megawarrior would work also!
Thanks
David

Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

Hi David,
The mega warrior is the same rack as the load warrior but it has a center add in section to make it longer. They will fit above the bed of the Titan. They aren't the heaviest duty racks, but they're good for general purposes. I have a very heavy duty rack on mine that I would highly recommend for build quality and weight capacity. I will try to get some photos posted for you this weekend if you're interested. Hope this is helpful.

Hey Duane, I would like to see the photos, thanks. However you are incorret!
Megawarrier and Loadwarrier are 2 different baskets and both have their own extension!

Ooops, sorry. My dealer told me they were the same except for the extension. I'll get photos posted for you shortly.

Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

Here are a few photos for you David. This safari basket has a weight capacity of over 1800 pounds. Not that the Nissan overhead racks would hold that kind of weight, but it gives you an idea of the quality of the basket. They can be made any size you like with options for light mounts, spare tire mounts, etc.

Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

Hey Duane, it looks great! That is what I want on my Titan!!
Now, the tough question... Is it a Megawarrior or Loadwarrior? I would like to think it is the Mega, because it looks great and use most of the rack width, but it would be great to know for sure.
Thanks again,
David

Re: Megawarrior or Load Warrior by Yakima?!

It's not a load warrior or mega warrior. I bought it on ebay from the guy that builds them. I know you can't tell from photos, but it's so much nicer than the Yakima baskets or any others I looked at prior to buying this one. I am beyond anal retentive and can be very hard to please when it comes to quality of products, however, there were no disappointments with this thing. He will build them any size you want. They come unpainted so you can make them any color you like. I had mine powder coated in semi gloss black and it came out beautifully. The guy is in Arizona and he ships them via Greyhound to keep shipping costs down. He was very easy to work with and had quick turn around time. He has photos of all kinds of different racks he has built for off road vehicles. Let me know if you want his contact info. Oh, and by the way, my basket attaches to the over head racks with standard Yakima mounts available from Nissan dealers for about $15.00.
