2007 Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year
just got the issue.
I haven't read it but what's funny are the competitors
Chevy Silverado
Chevy Avalanche
Cadillac Escalade EXT
GMC Sierra
Ford Explorer Sportrack
so 4 of them are GM vehicles and have similar powertrains or variations of them. Seems a little biased but of course it's because nobody else has a new 07.

Re: 2007 Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year
Yeah... right... just test drive a Chevy and then test drive a Nissan... no comparison. I drove them all... Ford, Dodge, Chevy, GM, Toyota...none were as good as my '04 back then. Maybe the '07 Chevy is better, but my money is on the Titan!

It's because M/T has a new rule. (actually several years old)..the truck has to be brand new to the market...not a previous year. Which means that the fugly 2008 Tundra will be eligible for 2008 honors, since the 2007 model hasn't made an appearance yet.
Re: 2007 Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year
gm sucks, my parents have a 2000 tahoe no problems and a 2005 caddi srx. that thing has so many problems. they say they fix it but its still all messed up

Chevy used to make good trucks(50/60's), now they are just another soon to be dead american car maker. Too many suits & unions & not enough profit. If I was in charge of GM I would halt all advertising for one month and reap the extra profits, invest in new technolgy and dump Pontiac & Oldsmobile to the gutter. But what do I know, I am just a former Chevy owner who only drives imports now.

I really love what GM has done with the headlights on the Silverado... Its very National Lampoon "Family Truckster ish." Cool to copy the laughing stock car in the movie Vacation. Nice touch GM.

Re: 2007 Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year
I just traded (2 weeks ago) my 2002 Silverado for my new 2007 Titan. I would have looked at the new Chevy's, but I had so many problems with my 2002 that I was glad to get rid of it. So far, I LOVE the Titan. I'd never go back to a GM again!

Ford did the same thing with the new F Series Superduties, the truckster is the first thing I thought of after seeing a picture of it.

Re: 2007 Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year
I've owned Gm and Ferd......NEVER AGAIN. A friends Titan was involved in an accident so they put him in a 06 F150 while it was being fixed, he was never so glad to get back in the Titan. All he did was complain about the Ferd, and he had traded in a F250 on the Titan. I was one of those that had a rear end problem, while it was being replaced, they gave me a 05 Silverado, IT SUCKED. I had traded in a 98 Silverado and it had sucked. I'll stick with Nissan until Honda builds a real truck, maybe. Every Honda we have ever owned has been fantastic, but I can't do a Ridgeline.
