My Sensor light has came on. Pressures are fine. Light is blinking at start up and then switches to solid light later. Owners manual says this means they are not working properly. I don't care if they work or not but the light is driving me nuts. Can anyone tell me if there is a fuse I can unplug to turn that light off without affecting other stuff. Just wondering. Its on a 06 Titan if that matters. Thanks
Mine started doing the same thing yesterday. They went off at least 8 times during a two hour trip. I stopped and checked the pressure but all of the tires are fine. I guess it's time to take mine to the dealer for warranty work.

I was about to ask this as well tonight. I live in metro Phoenix but went to the mountains. At 7000ft and temps in the teens the light came on. Tire pressure was a little low (33 lbs). Driving back home this afternoon the light went off as we were driving. 2006 4X2 SE
I thought the pressure to set off the sensor was 29lbs. To me 33psi isn't low.

Actually, my dealer told me it came on at 25psi but I agree, 33 should not have been an issue.
My pressure sensors go on after about 1 hour of straight highway driving and all of the pressures are fine. As soon as I turn the truck off and back on however, they seem to reset themselves. The frustrating thing is that the dealer told me that they coudn't recreate the problem and wanted me to bring it in when they were on.
I am thinking, ok, so you want me to waste about 4 gallons of fuel to recreate the problem.....whose gonna reimburse me for the fuel expense. Instead of arguing, I was just gonna bring it over there after returning from a jaunt across I-4....
I have to pump mine up to 40psi or the light comes on. I got my oil changed a few days ago and the pit monkey’s put them back to 35psi and the light came on the very next day on my way to work.
I think the sensor's are all poorly calibrated. I'm currently running my stock wheels/tires at 28psi front, 25psi rear. Low pressures, I know. But had no luck with the Goodyear SR/A's at higher pressures, wore the centers out. Replaced two of the stockers with the spare and 1 new one. Will be getting 35" replacements for the 18" wheels next time. Back to the pressure sensor's though...
My light is on all the time at these pressures. Every now and again, when I start up the truck, I get an annoying beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound that turns off after about 5 seconds. The light does NOT flash though.
When I run my 35" tires and 17" wheels WITHOUT the sensors, the light doesn't come on until about 60 miles of continuous driving.
The whole low pressure sensor idea is pointless to me anyways. If people would maintain their vehicles the way they should, then they would know if their tires are low. Checking tire pressure is about as simple as it gets. If you get out to pump gas, go around and check tire's/pressures while its filling up. Don't know why we need a stinking light that just cause problems such as this.
If you are capable of checking tire pressure on your own without the dealerships help (I hope so), then just get used to the light. I don't even notice mine's on anymore. If the light's bothering you that bad, put a piece of electrical tape or tint over it perhaps?
Oh and another thing, if you hit something on the road, and your tire goes flat rapidly, it's not gonna take that light coming for you to realize that it's flat.

They mount on the back of the valve stem. Some aftermarket wheels are designed to allow them to mount, most are not. That is a question for the individual manufacturers when you are looking at wheels.
This sytem is thanks to the Ford Explorer and the Firestone tire problems.
The foot on the brakes before getting the truck out of park is thanks to the Audi 5000 and sudden acceleration.

Don't look into the light!!!!! I'm afraid you're gonna have a light. Some have had it go off occasionally, but generally, it will remain lit. Consider it like your very own driving companion.
When I run without the sensors during the summertime, the light only comes on after about 60 miles of continuous driving, like on an interstate.
One other thing, if your gonna be swapping the wheels with sensors for wheels without, don't do like I did. Make sure you air UP the wheels with the sensors, drive it aroudn so the light goes out, BEFORE you take them off and put the sensor free wheels on. I didn't do that, and the light stayed on after installing the wheels without the sensors?
This whole system is kinda quirky if you ask me. Why it doesn't recognize that there are no sensors right away is beyone me. It seems like every case seems to be different though.???
