Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)

I know what the whole VDC deal is, but my question is when I turn it off and stomp on it, I can somtimes see the "slip" light on the dash flash while just giving the truck throttle and no brake. why does it still slip when the VDC is turned off?

Active Brake Limited Slip still works with VDC off.

Yeah, if a wheel spins, the SLIP light comes on, the brake engages on the rotor of the spinning wheel, you probably also will hear a ratchety noise.

How would I know if I have VDC or not w/o the switch? I do have ABLS with the big tow.

You should have a VDC Off switch by your Tow Mode switch.

Re: Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)

So how do you go off roading and spin your tires? I have only had my truck for a couple weeks and we finally go snow today so I tried it out in the parking lot. It seems like after a while it knows that you are intentionally spinning the tires and doesn't react for you, but I wish I could turn it off still. The brakes should only come on when I press them!

Re: Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)

Possibilities include pulling the ABLS fuse, doing the mod somebody posted to turn ABLS off by switching at the fuse, installing a truetrac
