There is a new recall coming. At least for the '05's. Check the site for other

year models. That being said, I'm very happy with the quality of this truck. I expected a few more problems since it was only the second model year. So far I've had the brake judder fixed (fixed right the first time), the trailer harness wiring fix, and now this. Not really that bad if you ask me. Oh yeah, did I mention that it hauls arse?

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/

You have to search for the information. It won't let me link the finished search.

What trailer harness recall? I haven't done anything with mine. Do I need to?

Geez..from all the posts here about supposed recalls (brake judder wasn't, and the rear end isn't either) You'd think the Titan is the only truck with problems.

NOT SO....visit some other make forums...even Toyota and Honda...there are plenty of "wah...wah...maa...mah" crybaby threads there, and the issues are many and most go unresolved.

This person posted the same info over at CT, and the link doesn't point to any specific recall or problem. Why would someone post that and not say a word on what the problem is?

Sudden...when I posted it was a direct link to the search results that

showed the information. Apparently that site won't let you link the search results. It is a wiring problem that could affect your seat belts.

Make : NISSAN Model : TITAN Year : 2005
Manufacturer : NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 06V459000 Recall Date : NOV 22, 2006
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 96500
Summary:
ON CERTAIN CREW CAB TRUCKS, THE WIRES IN THE HARNESS WERE ROUTED THROUGH THE REAR DOORS AND INTO THE BODY. THESE WIRES MAY BREAK DUE TO OVER BENDING OF THE HARNESS AS THE DOOR IS OPENED AND CLOSED. THE HARNESS CONTAINS WIRES FOR THE DRIVER SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER AND FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WHICH IS PART OF THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM. WIRES FOR THE REAR AUDIO SPEAKERS ARE ALSO CONTAINED N THE HARNESS.
Consequence:
IF THE WIRES FOR THE SEAT BELTS AND SPEAKER WIRES BREAK AND MAKE CONTACT, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE PRETENSIONER MAY DEPLOY. IF THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE SEAT BELT IS RETRACTED, IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO USE THE SEAT BELT. IF ONE OF THE WIRES ON THE RIGHT SIDE HARNESS FOR THE SEAT BELT TENSION SENSOR BREAKS, THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY AS DESIGNED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH AND PERSONAL INJURY.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WIRE HARNESS COVER WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE THAT PREVENTS OVER BENDING OF THE HARNESS AND THE HARNESS WILL BE REROUTED FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 19, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.
Notes:
CUSTOMERS MAY ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION’S VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), OR GO TO HTTP://WWW.SAFERCAR.GOV.

Ok thanks steve, that's the same one on the 06 CC but includes 05's. I'm sure the 04 CC will be added soon.
