The sensor is kinda like a rectangular puck with the stem coming off it through the valve stem hole in the rim. There is a nut that threads on top of that to hold it in place. Make sense?

makes sence thanks, so you can use them with aftermarket rims & tires, but do you need the computer re-flashed or anything to recognize the new pressures? and hows the sensor connect to the computer?

You can use them with most aftermarket wheels. Just gotta make sure: 1. the valve stem hole is on the face of the wheel, 2. the "nut" portion of the sensor can physically seat in the hole provided. No "re-flash" required, you're just moving from one wheel to another.
^^I don't know anything about the seals- but I had a couple of leaks. The shop actually warned me about it because of the two different types of metals being together. I had to retighten 3 of them, 1 of which I cranked the dog sh*t out of, and haven't had any problems for a long time now.
