Re: 2008 QX56 new interior, shades of what's to come of Titan's?
That would be nice! Why Nissan went to that horrible orange back-lighting beats the heII outta me!

Same here...the the orange dash has kind of grown on me.
The info display between the tach & speedo reminds me of my Audi, especially with the red/white/black cluster.

Orange is chosen because it is easier for the eyes to adjust to that color when looking from the light to the dark outside of night. Sort of like using a red filtered flashlight at night to read maps and not blind yourself. That is why BMW has been using orange forever on its gauges.

I like the materials MUCH better than the current offerings, but I do not like the dash. Reminds me too much of a car dashboard, almost like the Nissan Versa:

That is nice! But it's been said on here that the Titan doesn't seem to cater to the worktruck crowd. This interior seems a lot more luxurious than many looking for a work truck might expect. Not that nicer isn't better, but it sure would be a shame to get something that purty all messed up with sawdust and tar and stuff. Now, I realize that this is the Lexus and is meant to be a cushy luxury-mobile, but it does seem that they are leaning toward the higher end of the market with respect to sales.

I'm sorry, but I do not like the look. If that goes into the upcoming Titan I hope it gets better. I suspect what bothers me so is the total lack of unity, good grief, ya got fake wood, a silver surround, chrome details, a grey dash, tan leather on the lower dash, black plastic, yet another shade of grey plastic and smaller gauges; no thanks.

This is supposed to be the upscale Infinity interior. My bet is the Nissan interior's will have less of the chrome, silver trim, and wood. It may actually look more uniform in a mid-level titan rather than this hodge podge. I think's it's better than my '04 creaky dash.
