Question factory navigation question

i have a 04 cc loaded execpt for navi and i want to get it installed, i went to my local dealer and they said that i will have to go aftermarket. i dont know if they cant order it or what but i want the factory navi. did anyone else try to do this? if someone did, did you have a problem with them ordering one? i am also wondering if the titan already has all the plugs in the dash for the navi to get hooked up, or if i need an aditional harnes or something else?

thanks

Re: factory navigation question

You need to talk to elbo about this. he has done it. I think the wireing is already there. do a search on his posts ...name is "elbo". Also look in the interior discussion area. You might try this too.... Installing Factory Navigation

Re: factory navigation question

thanks jackhammer, probably shoulda searched but im at work and i dont want to get caught using the computers.

i really am regretting getting my truck with out navi now

im not sure bout this but, does the factory navi give you milage info? i know on some toyotas like the prius has it where it give you the mpg your getting at that instant. just wondering because i work at a toyota dealer and i know solaras have it on a small lcd screen and i think the siennas, highlanders with navi have it to.

Re: factory navigation question

You're better off going aftermarket like the dealer suggest, factory system after the fact would probably run you about $3K to $4K if they can even do it. Plus you can get more for your money going aftermarket.
Here's a nice example of an aftermarket system incorporated to look factory.
