I have 35,938 miles on my Titan and no extended war. My lights on the a/c started not coming on when I turn on my headlights. It doesnt do it every time and somtimes will stay off for only 5 seconds or up to 2 minutes. This just started last week and I took it to the dealership and they said they cant duplicate the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?
Yup, this was happening to me also (very recently I might add). I rolled the dimmer switch back and forthe a bunch of times (I don't know why, it just made me feel like I was actually doing something), and now it seems to be working okay.

I keep blowing the 10amp fuse under the hood for the AC and other knob lights. The dealer can't find the problem...said the harness would need replacing at like $650 parts and a lot of labor.
Is there a way to see if my dimmer switch might be shorting? If I remove it then none of the dash lights work
Maybe I can short the wires to the switch to bypass it in order to check? There are 3 wire connections on it. The replacement switch is $68 I'd hate to buy a replacement if mine is good.
Mine does this also, I had them change the a/c control head and it didn't help. The tech told me this is a common problem and there is no real fix. Just roll the dimmer switch when it does this and it should start working.
I've heard of the problem also although I've not experienced it. As mentioned, the fix was either to roll the dimmer switch or have it replaced.

It isn't the dimmer switch that is the problem, because the dimmer switch controls all the lights and the only lights causing trouble is the a/c lights.

I too have this problem with the same results at the dealer... I have 19k and an extended warr, so if I can get it there while they are "off" they will replace it... (fat chance) but they say it is "not something they have heard alot of... "
I Have sort of the same problem in my F**d work truck, in that case it IS the dimmer cuz all of the lights flicker and go out...
Never had these problems on my 71 Chevy...(they were good for burning up and sometimes catching fire) so much for technology... Still LOVE my truck!!!

OK, replaced dimmer switch today and that was not a fix. However, in the process it appears the 10 amp fuse is blowing when in reverse like the reverse lights being on are doing it. Does this make sense? I tried it twice (out of 10amps now) One blew immediately when I went to reverse to back out of garage. This is just effecting the AC switch LEDs and the console light for what gear I'm in The second one stayed for a while but blew while backing down driveway. This is not a big deal but pisses me off. What do you think about a bigger fuse?
Any ideas here? I have Big Tow and a prodigy brake controller. Was taken in for the recall for trailer wiring check too. Think the trailer harness or controller should be redone?
HELP... PLEASE!!!!!!!
