Big tow Mirrors

Does anyone have a good pic of the big tow mirrors that would come on an LE crew cab?

Im trying to get an idea of how they compare to the rgular but i cant seem to find great pictures.

As well do they automatically retract like the stock LE ones?

They will not automatically retract, you have to fold them up manually.

They also extend and retract manually. Here's a few shots of them. Sorry, but I don't have any up-close shots.

Do the LE big tow mirrors retract AND fold in electronically? Do the standard LE mirrors fold in electronically?

No. They will not retract, extend, or fold up automatically. Those features are all manual.

The only electronic control they have is for adjustment of the upper mirror from inside the cab and the heat function.

Only on the 06 and newer do the LE regular mirrors fold in electronically.

Only the regular mirrors on the LE fold electronically. The TOW mirrors don't have the electronic fold feature. I wish they did though! I can't count how many times I've hooked up the trailer and forgot to pull the mirrors out! You have to stop, pull em' out......just a pain in the butt IMHO, but not a huge deal. Nissan should have powered the BT mirrors like the big 3 did.

the bigtow mirrors are a plus because it's able to let you see the BLIND SPOT!!! unlike other trucks with small side mirrors.

I go through the drivethru at the bank all the time. It's not a problem. I don't have the BT mirrors extended, but then, if you're towing you're not going to be going through drivethrus if you have any sense....

The big tow mirrors are my least favorite option on my LE. Parking in my garage or a tight spot is really a challenge some days. Plus, certain drive-thru car washes are as narrow as hell and can cause issues as well. I'm also too damned lazy to get out and manually adjust them when need be.

I'm seriously thing about switching them out.
