Hard to get VDC with an 07?

While getting an oil change on my 04 I played with the idea of trading for an 07. I told them as long as it has what I have (SE, big tow, etc) and must have VDC I would think about it. They coudn't find one truck in New England that had VDC without it being an LE model. Did nissan put VDC in a higher package? They tried telling me that it's not that popular now, that people can drive fine with ABS only. I told them I love the VDC, saves me every time, and didn't want a new shiney 07 off road in a tree.

So has anyone else found that VDC is difficult to get now?

Again, VDC kicks ***! I think it's a bosch system that's in a lot of different vehicles?

Did you try building it in as a feature on Nissan's website and then do a search by zipcode? (on an SE)

Re: Hard to get VDC with an 07?

It's hard to get b/c of cost, a 4x4 cc se w/ sab {side air bags & vdc} invoices $32638 to $33144. All of those are eastcoast trucks from SC,VA, NY. Most cust. want a 4x4 cc SE for less money and not willing to pay for the SAB pkg. You always order the right one for you. On the LE cust. don't have choice sab comes with certain order-able combos. I have it on my LE works great in the rain. The wife in the passenger seat, loves it too, IT KEEPS ME IN CHECK.

I ordered mine with all the factory options and the VDC came with the
side Air Bag Package. $1200 in 06. The truck is an LE 4X4.

Re: Hard to get VDC with an 07?

If you are going to upgrade, go with an 08 or newer. You will change very little going from an 04 to an 07. If you go 08, you get several new features. If you have to get used, then I would wait untill there are some used 08 around. I have an 07 that I bought new and I wish I waited a little longer to get the stuff that is on the 08's. the only bad change they made in the 08's was not adding the option for the OR package without going Pro 4X.
