Very nice, however, like I said before, if you add an actual LIGHT BAR, you could see the blinker from all directions. . .not JUST the rear. Plus, I like the idea of having running LED lights on the mirrors. . . . kinda like the Ford F-350s.

The only problem is that if you wanted to use them as a running light as well (which I think would be SWEEET), you would have to run a wire up to the mirror form somewhere underneath the dash. . .
Probably the only feature about my in-law's Expedition that I really liked! This would be cool if you could get them to light up as running lights when you unlock the doors... Would this have to be two different strips though?

I thought of putting lights behind the mirror and let the light escape out of the perimeter gap of the top, the outside edge, and the bottom.

Im thinkin bout doing that mod where the guy drilled the mirrors I guess but why didnt he ever post finished pics like installed?? Also, if u drill em wont u get water inside ur mirrors? would that be bad if u got electrical back there?
Yeah, I thought about that idea too, but if you actually add a whole LED light bar on the bottom of the mirror, you could see the blinker from ANY direction, not just form the rear of the truck.
True, but in my case, I tow a 33' travel trailer so cars too far back in the next lane can't see my trucks taillights, and their too far forward to see the trailers taillights. So in that case they only see my side mirrors. Having those arrows would allow them to see my intent when lane changing. There's really no need, that I can think of, to be able to see the blinkers from the side or front. If their that far forward, their not in your blind spot and can see your front signals. But if that's what you're looking for, why not just add another blinker on the quarter panel under the mirror.....like euro makes have.

Yeah, probably, but that sounds too complicated, plus I don't think they have enough light to illuminate the ground. I'm not sure about your Titan, but mine has a little light on the bottom of the door that lights up the ground.

Well, I'm drilling into the housing, not the actual mirror. Plus, the LED light bar that I'm installing is insulated, so no leaking could occur.

True, but by this point your door's already open and all the light from your overhead lamp should be illuminating everything as well.

Good point! The only thing I could see is to somehow wire it to your cargo lamp on the third break light. I know that pops on when you hit your unlock button.

Interesting idea..I know one of the complaints about the GM SUV's like trailblazer is that you can see it flashing from the drivers seat, and at night it blocks your view.
I would assume a led light bar would do the same- flash in your face and block your view of the mirror?
Hope I'm wrong, because it's not a bad idea...hope it turns out okay (HA, pun intended!)

I was searching Ebay and came across red L.E.D. Lights. Just search for red turn signals. I was searching parts for my motorycle and came across them. I tried ot put a URL but have not posted enough yet.

Yeah, I've thought about this. But I'm mounting mine on the bottom of the mirror housing which should be blocked by the door. We'll see.
