Which ones did you order and how did you hook them up? It looks like the wiring comes out the end of the strip and not underneath.

Also, post some picts (install and in use). - please.

Can't wait to see the install pix and wiring info. I might have to do this also.

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

I got the 4.5" amber (30 led). I know i said i was going for a side mount...but after tonights episode..I'm going for a bottom mount, it seems to shed more light "down" and not "out'. Again, it seems to me these are just too bright to mount on the mirror itself and be able to see what's coming. I thought about what HVTitan said about the best veiw from the rear...and I'm thinking this may be more "noticeable" at night. Looks like getting into the mirror and through the stalk is going to be the easy part...the hard part will be getting from the mirror, down in the door and into the truck. I 'm thinking there should be power for a directional under the dash some where. The wire does come from the end of the led, and these are strickly self stick...no screw holes for mounting. I will be doing the install this Tues night...I'll stay over at work and pull my truck inside where it's warm. Pictures and video to follow..and wiring ideas or tips prior would be a big help.

The installation manual here http://www.kwmuth.com/techsupport/pdfs/21001030.pdf) might be helpful on locating the correct wires in the harness behind the kick panels.

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

Ok..Here it is!

Finally got these buggers installed, and my , do they look good for 1st generation. I switched from the original design...when Hudson Valley Titan said it would be helpful from a towing aspect to be seen from both directions, I decided to head back to the drawing board and rethink what to use. I used 10 LED modules that shine in both directions(front and back) mounted with 2 face tape and black silicone to the mirror bottoms. The great thing about this choice is that the LED's are mounted at slight angles to greatly improve the veiw. It was nice that the modules came with 6' leads ...a real plus. I will do a list of tips and tricks that it took me awhile to figure out the best routeing. I'll design a worksheet with some visual aids and extra pictures for those that request it

The Leds were from Custom Dynamics....all quality stuff with fast shipping....a little pricey but the quality exceeds my expectations.

I'll try to put something together for those intrested...sorry about the photoes..all I had my Iphone at the time.

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

I'd like to see some better pics when you get a chance. Could you make up a complete 'how-to' as far as running the wires etc.

I had a SuperDuty with the outside mirror lights, and I loved them, I'd like to add something like what you have done to my Titan!!!!

EDIT**Oops, I see better pics will be coming soon.
Sorry 'bout that.

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

Just remember to add extra blinker fluid. You'll need it to run those extra blikers

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

I shot a youtube vid last night...it's my 1st one so don't trash me too bad. It shows a rear veiw than a front veiw. I hadn't tried to shoot any videos on my digital camera...I'll do a bit better next time!

Re: Adding LED blinkers to Big Tow mirrors . . .

what do you think about using these looks pretty good for running lights and turn signals? I would probably leave the brake light function disabled http://www.kisantech.com/view_product.php?product=VL-20
