Question High setting seat warmer

On my 05 LE with seat warmers the light in the "low" position illuminates when the swith is in the that position, when set to "high" the seat warmer stills works but the switch is not illuminated. I bought the truck new in Feb 05 and i seldom use the high setting and can't really remember if it ever illuminated in that position. Does anybody else's light up in the high position? I find it odd that both seats work in the high setting but neither switch illuminates. Reply Please!!!

Re: High setting seat warmer

The lights for my seat warmer switches (drivers and passengers side) is illuminated in the low setting and when flipped to the high setting. Are both (drivers and passengers side) switches only lighting up on the low setting? If this is the case, seems strange that they both failed.

Re: High setting seat warmer

I agree. That's odd. The light is only out when they're off. If I see a light there, I know I have to turn them off prior to exiting the vehicle. I'm a stickler for turning eveything off even thought these trucks turn everything off after a certain amount of time anyway to avoid killing the battery if you leave lights on or something. I'd take it to the dealer and get them replaced. that's assuming you're still under warranty.

Re: High setting seat warmer

So are you saying your light goes out when you switch to high? If so, there's something wrong. On my '07, there is one light on the switch and it is located closer to the word "LOW", but the light just indicates that the heater is on, not if it is set to high or low.

Re: High setting seat warmer

Yes, it is under warranty as I bought the extended 100,000 mile "Gold Warranty." My experience with 4-wheel drive vehicles is you will have a problem at some point and the extra 12 or 13 hundred bucks on the front end pays for itself sometimes many times over from 36,001- 100,000. And yes, it is a "bumper-to-bumper" warranty
