Broken Door Handle !!

I just purchased an 04 titan 4 days ago and late last night as I was going out a friend of mine came by and I showed him the truck. I unlock the doors so he can see the inside...for whatever reason it wasn't opening and I guess he pulls harder and the door opens. Once he tries to close the door and it fails to close 3 times I noticed the door handle had been slightly out of place as if it were pulled too hard. Has this happened to anyone else? and lastly will this be covered on my 60days 2K used car warranty? Maybe the fact that it was 10 degrees outside and possibly froze the handle had something to do with it....

That happened to my front passenger door last week. It was pretty cold here in Atlanta Ga. I let the truck run for a few minutes with the heat on. After pulling the handle a few times it eventually closed. I am pretty sure your issue was tempeture related, but it wouldn't hurt to have the dealer check it out if it still won't close properly. SWEET! your right! My door handle is not broken. I didn't check it again until just now and everything is fine! It must have been the weather! Thanks for all your help.

Dealership warrantied mine out because they were sticking out a little after pulling on them. They said there was a new part number and replaced them both. Word of caution. Do a walk over around door panels with service writer to show your door panels are perfect. When I got my truck back and both door panels got damaged, its real easy to tell them it wasnt that way and they have to replace. Biggest kick in the nuts is I told them where to be careful of and I'm not even a Nissan tech.

as i remember, there was a recall on the door handles because my brother's '05 Titan did the same thing... and he got the Dealer to fixed it for free. the service manager said something about the temperature being cold... and so, the door handle would freeze.
