Yesterday I suprised myself. I actually hit 423 miles on one tank (filled up about 23 gallons at the pump after I hit that 423 mark). It was mixed city and hwy driving. But while I was in the city, I was not driving like an old lady. I wonder how much I would had if I did indeed drive like an old lady. Its kinda tough when you got all that power under the hood.
Just thought I might post that.
Whats the most yall got?
425 on a tank myself. But it was on a trip where the cruise was set to 60 mph for most of the trip.
I took one trip out west in 2005 where I was getting 17mpg with the cruise set at 70 mph and have driven to Indiana numerous times (8 hours one way) and consistently get 17 mpg.
I did a trip to cali this weekend. Put about 950 miles on the truck. Filled up before I left, topped it off in blythe with $20 and then filled up before I left Burbank and then put $25 more in at blythe to top it off. I figured that out there and back I got a little over 430 miles or so. I was also going an avg. of 90MPH with some cruise control. My day to day driving i am averaging around 325. 60 miles a day 4 days a week and its freeway in the morning and surface streets in the evening.
I got almost 400 miles on 1 tank. It was almost all highway driving, but there was some driving on back roads in the country. I think I got almost 19 to the gallon. Usually I am getting about 300 miles for about 20-21 gallons almost all city.

Well, the first tank on the Titan (the previous owner had filled it, so you can't be certain exactly how full it was), I got 15.5 mpg on highway driving. I wanted to know how it would do on gas milage, so I very carefully filled up. I went 423 miles, as I recall, on 23.2 gallons of gas, about 18.5 mpg. The next tank was about 410 miles, about 17.5 mpg. I have consistantly found that I get about 15.5 mgp in mixed city/highway driving, and about 18 mpg on highway driving with the cruise set at about 70 mph. The last trip to California, last weekend was 414 with one tank 18.4 mpg going over, and 411 with another tank coming back 17.8 mpg. In between was mixed driving for 188 miles, and I got 16.0 mpg there. I try to fill exactly the same way each time, I use the trip odometer, and I keep the records.
If you are heavy on the pedal, it will show in the milage that you get. I drive like an old lady. I got the truck for what it can do 4x4, haul stuff, safe, comfortable. I never thought burning rubber at stop lights was a good idea, but it is nice to have the capacity. To each his own.
I am disappointed if I don't get 400 miles per tank. Usually I average 400-420 per tankfull, and by tankfull, I mean I fill it until gas almost comes out the filler neck. Usually holds right around 23 gallons. And I don't drive conservatively either. I drive 63 miles round trip Monday-Friday, 40 miles of that on the I-95 & I-16 with cruise set at 80, the other 23 miles are in town with light traffic averaging about 50 MPH. Then, some light dirt road driving on the weekends to and from hunting/fishing. I usually only have to fill up once a week.
BTW, I am totally stock, except for my step bars. I have NEVER gotten below 350 on a tankfull, even after resetting my ECU. I'll just consider myself one of the lucky few.

I always get over 400 per tank, usually around 450 and sometime 500+ on the highway. Problem is, it is in kilometers not miles. LOL! So around 280 miles per tank on average. Glad to hear your getting some great numbers on your truck. Wish mine did the same.

Quoting miles/tank isn't exactly accurate, and you can't really compare But my 2006 (CC 4x2 BT) usually shows well over 400 when I get the next tankful. I drive until it's been on 'E' for a while, though. So I usually get 25 gallons or so to fill up. That's a mix with mostly local roads.
Anyway, my previous Titan (2004 4x2 BT CC), got 12-13 around town, and 19 on highway (cruise at 70). I haven't kept close track, but I think my 2006 will do better than that, especially around town.
