Yesterday I suprised myself. I actually hit 423 miles on one tank (filled up about 23 gallons at the pump after I hit that 423 mark). It was mixed city and hwy driving. But while I was in the city, I was not driving like an old lady. I wonder how much I would had if I did indeed drive like an old lady. Its kinda tough when you got all that power under the hood.
Just thought I might post that.
Whats the most yall got?

Geez, I'm doing nearly 100% city driving right now. I'm just barely making it to 250 miles on each tank. I can't imagine anything is wrong with my truck. I cleaned the CAI filter a couple weeks ago (I apparently forgot to check it after my last mud "outing" and it was REALLY filthy), but there's nothing else I can imagine that would have/would affect the gas mileage anymore than is normal. I guess this is just normal for the conditions of my truck and the driving I'm doing right now.....

I do roughly 70 miles a day to and from work. Of the 70 miles, 10 of it is city and the rest is highway. I average 70 mph with cruise. I will classify myself as average when it come to accelerating. I am averaging about 290 a tank.
No really, I swear on everything I own. I always reset the "B-side" tripmeter for evertime I fill up my tank. I drove from Dallas to Austin this weekend and when I got to the outskirts of Austin I filled up (dont recall the milage) So, at the outskirts of Austin I had a full tank on a friday night around 1am. So between then and Sunday I did some driving here and there with some brief hotrodding in between. On Monday I saddled up and drove back to Dallas again with some minor hottrodding (no traffic since it was late evening driving). So by the time I got to Dallas I noticed my fuel light on, I didnt fret much as the needle was not really on top of the absolute bottom line of the gauge. Well, I failed to realize that all the gas stations in south dallas are in ghetto areas and gradually gets less ghetto as I travel north through Dallas. So I really didnt want to stop there for obvious reasons. For those who are familiar with Dallas, I reached Northwest HW/Tollway ann filled up. I could of filled up sooner as I passed the ghetto part, but I just kept pushing the envelope. So, when I got to the station, my B tripmeter was 423. The B side is ALWAYS my gas mileage meter.
No cruise control and only thing not stock on my Titan are my rims and tires (info on sig) and oil.
Guys, I am not yanking yalls chain or making this up, I am 100% serious and not mistaken (or on drugs). I miss my VW Jetta's efficiency, so I really pay attention to my trucks usage.
My very first tank on that truck got 370 miles! it had a full tank from the dealership and 5 miles on the OD. That was the first thing I looked at when I filled up.
Guys Im new to TT somewhat and the last thing I want to do is make up a bunch of BS or ruin my credibility here. I am not making this up, -I actually almost got 17MPG off my Titan. On this tank.
But during the week, I get about 320 or so and that is always in city driving.

With 423 miles outta 23 gallons you got close to 18.5 mpg.....Advanced math is hell....
Yeah. This was probably in your Cavalier! j/k..... My CC 4x4 only goes about 280-300 on mixed city/highway driving. But it's got other things that make me glad to own it!

Yep, I actually thought something was wrong with my truck, I got about 235-250 on one tank myself. It's been a while since I checked my air filter(about a year), that being said, I gotta go clean it. He probably dropped four cylinders to achieve this j/k.

He forgot to say about 1/2 of those miles were on the back of a tow truck. Sorry, that was cruel...
