Front and Rear Diff. fluid

I am a little confused about the front and rear diff fluid. Some people are using 75w-90 in the front and 75w-140 in the rear. And some are using 75w-140 front and back. The post's that I been reading are from 2004 and 2005, Can I get some input on what people are using in 2007. As far as brand and weight for front and rear. Thank's in advance

Re: Front and Rear Diff. fluid

Your manual says nothing on the type to use?

Re: Front and Rear Diff. fluid

Don't have the manual with me at work or I would look. I need to pick it up on my way home this morning so I can do it when I get home.

75w-90 in the front and 75w-140 in the rear. I didn't know anyone was using 90 in the rear too.

Re: Front and Rear Diff. fluid

The rear differential fluid recommendation has been changed to 75W 140 synthetic. I have seen nothing from Nissan that says the same for the front, so 75W-90 is the recommendation as far as I know. Synthetics will give you a lot more peace of mind, and will provide better thin film lubricity and adhesion to the metal inside the diff.'s. This improves the lubrication upon start-up. The 140 weight especially will "stick" to the gears, pinions, etc. and help out the rear diff.

Re: Front and Rear Diff. fluid

Used to have to use that in limited slip diffs...back in the day.
