Park my Titan, Lock with remote and later find that both of my front windows are all the way DOWN! What gives? What have I done and or how do I prevent this??

Re: Power Windows

Yes. If you press and "Hold" the unlock button on your remote for about 5 seconds, the windows go down. You may have been close enough to your truck while the button accedentally got pressed while in your pocket. Great safety feature IMO........

Re: Power Windows

A good thing though, the truck is still basically locked. If you try to unlock the truck from the door the alarm will sound, so it keeps the casual perp out.

Hm-m-m...how many car alarms do you hear and actually do anything about? I suspect most "casual" perps consider car alarms to be an annoyance, not a deterrant.

Re: Power Windows

Hey, that's not in the manual of my 07! Very cool feature I would have never known about!

That's gonna come in handy come July.

I have had this problem with both of my Titans. I have not only had my windows go down on their own after locking the doors with the windows up, I have had the windows go down, doors lock and the horn beep when taking the keys out of the ignition.
Each time this has happened the fix was to replace the BCM module. Of course, as with most of my problems with the Titan, the fix is only temporary.
The dealer attributes the BCM going out to road shock, I attribute this to cheap parts.
At any rate, if it happens again, the "fix" is fairly fast and simple.

Re: Power Windows

After I read a thread on here last year I had to go try it myself lol and it reminded me to always take my keys out of my pocket and keep em away from the kiddies.

ON a off the topic funny similar note - while playing GTA -SA on my PS2 with a wireless controller if I happen to point it over my head while sitting on the couch towards the garage I can remotely start my wife's tahoe.. haha that tripped me out until I could replicate it. Kept telling my wife to stop pushing the button to freak me out.

Re: Power Windows

Glad to know this is a "feature" and not something wrong. I flipped out when i got done shopping the other day!!! My windows were all the way down and it's December. I too must have missed that section in the manual. Thanks guys!!!!!!

Re: Power Windows

Can't say I've ever had mine get pushed in my pocket enough to lower the windows... but maybe I don't lean on stuff as much as you.

I am sure there are others, but KP Technologies sells one for Nissan products. It activates by pressing the lock button twice.
