Just thought I'd pass this info along to everyone and maybe save some grief and $$$. I had bought some chrome mirror covers and tailgate covers from a guy on Ebay last Septemeber. I just noriced that the tailgate cover is pitting and the chrome is flaking off. I alos just notice that the mirrors are starting to do the same thing. He claims a lifetime warranty yet wont't return phone calls or e-mails. My point is if your looking at this stuff on ebay beware. You may want to spend the extra money and buy local where you will have a warranty.

Absolutely. Caveat emptor being the word of the day for me whenever you're talking about EBay buying. There have been other reports of the pitting as well. Don't remember who the seller(s) were. I think I'd just buy new ones though, much as it stinks to have to do so.

My mirrors are chrome from the factory but I bought the chrome trim "bib" for the tailgate over a year ago and it's still fine. I do keep it well waxed though.

See if you can file a complaint with the BBB as it it probably a legitimate company.

Also start by sending a notice via certified mail.

(I should be a lwayer cause I truly enjoy being a DlCK!)
