ok heres the story... about 15 min after I was done, the steering wheel started vibrating and i heard a fast clicking/rattling sound from the front right wheel.
I pulled over and picked up this part :

and it was laying right there where all the grease was :

Anyone have any idea what that could be? Is it safe to drive back to the dealership(15 mile drive)?
Thanks alot guys.
here's a pic of my truck:

just remove the spaces between "h" and "ttp" and copy and paste to view the pics.
you might want to clean the truck first. dealer might fix it, but they might hassle you about the lift. where do you live? if you are in so cal, i would highly reccomend performance nissan in duarte.

Well, I don't know about you but if it were me, considering that it affects the steering, and steering determines the direction of travel and provides for an avoidance factor in a dangerous situation, I think I would have it towed to the dealer. Not enthused about playing bumber cars with a truck.
Good luck.
How do you blow a CV joint?
Seems like off roading these trucks causes more damage than any other truck on the road! My older bro had a 82 bronco he mudded all the time, not one problem, same with his '02 z71.
should I be afraid to take this thing off road? If I do, should I try to avoid anything that isn't firm pasture?
