Re: newbie from the St. louis area

Welcome to the forum. Don't let anyone give you crap about your Titan. I had a GMC followed by three F150's. I drove the Titan (at my wife's suggestion) on the morning that I planned to trade for my fourth F150. I bought the Titan on the spot. I usually trade every 40-50K miles. I plan to keep my Titan for a lot longer. I love it. Nuff said.

To stay on thread, welcome to TT Kevin. You made a good choice./ My wife also recommended the Titan. I was hung up on buying a big 3 truck, but all it took was a little research and one test drive and I was hooked.

Re: newbie from the St. louis area

You'll be glad you bought the Titan especially since you tow, its rated higher then all the big three trucks when it comes to towing.

Re: newbie from the St. louis area

thanks everyone, yeah i almost bought a dodge ram, but i wanted soemthing different, so i decided to try out the titan, and i almost bought the no fear titan with the lift, "35s, exhaust and grill, but i couldnt bring my self to pay the $40,000 they wanted for it, and even after they dropped the price to $33,000, still couldnt do it, so i went with the current model i have now, and i love it

when i was searching for an exhaust on my titan, no shop around here had done any, and i didnt know about this site, so i went with the flowmaster 40 series duel muffler, and i can say i am really happy with. its one of those things, cant really go by example when there is no one to lead, so i took the lead and added my exhaust, so im the first one in this general area.

Re: newbie from the St. louis area

I'm from the other side of St Louis.....about 130 miles west, but frequent St Louis for hockey, Blues and my kids play. We are in St Louis this weekend for a tournament, Won the first game this morning, hopefully we will win tommorrow, then its back next weekend for the semis and finals. My daughter played a hell of a game in goal.

Re: newbie from the St. louis area

Hey Bada$$, I'm just up the road from you. Yeah everyone gives me "stuff" about my Nissan. I just politely point out that my Nissan is actually more American than their Dodges and Chevys. Don't know about Fords, but I'm pretty sure Dodges and Chevys are being built in Mexico, whereas our Nissans are built in Alabama and Tennesee. Then they'll say something about the money going to Japan, whereupon I'll inform them that a lot of Americans own Nissan stock, and that's where the money goes. And a friend of mine has been a Dodge mechanic at various doge dealers for thirty years and he says that since Mexico has been building Dodge trucks, the quality has really gone south. Tells stories of bell housings with only two bolts holding them in and stuff like that.
