Anyone with a Lund Genesis Tri-fold??

I was going to pull the trigger today and order a Lund Genesis trifold cover, but the only option for my titan is WITHOUT utilitrack...

I have read in a couple places that some folks have had luck turning their utilitrack racks upside down, and then things that would otherwise not work will now work with the clearance provided.

Does anyone know if turning the tracks over will allow the Lund clamps to work?

thanks in advance for any help on this...I need a cover pretty quick for a trip I'm taking.

Re: Anyone with a Lund Genesis Tri-fold??

Not sure about reversing the utilitracs, but if you get the Extang Trifecta, it's identical to the Lund Trifold but you'll save about $80 and you won't have to bother your utilitrac mounts. Extang offers a "with utilitrac" option for the mounting hardware at no additional cost. Installs in minutes and removal is a snap. Plus I like the attachment hardware a little better than the Lund. My boss bought a Lund on eBay and we compared them in the parking lot at work. No difference except the clamping hardware.

Re: Anyone with a Lund Genesis Tri-fold??

So do the Torza and Extang clamp IN the track?

Also, one of the only reasons I was thinking Lund over the others is that I think it's the only one with black underneath (underside of vinyl and crossbows) but I may very well be wrong on that one. I found a good price on the Lund also.
I'm going to check out the other two right now.

Thanks guys...how do you like your covers? I really like the idea of quickly removing them altogether, and not having a rail clamped to the truck that takes up some space.

Blackbeauty...saw your post on another thread where you bought yours for $267 at A&A...what's A&A? I'm ordering that cover today if I can find it for that price! Every other place I have looked at hovers around 320 -340, but that's with free shipping.

Thanks!

A&A Auto Parts. It's a chain that sells items in the DriverFx network. Some smaller individual stores also carry their items. I got mine when they had a weekly sale flyer out and it was $30 off normal price, but even at normal price it's less expensive than many others.

And the Extang is black on the underside with black crossbows.

Re: Anyone with a Lund Genesis Tri-fold??

The Torza cover uses aluminum pieces that go in the track and the cover clamps to them The pieces are very easily removed when they aren't needed.

Re: Anyone with a Lund Genesis Tri-fold??

I installed my Extang Trifecta on my new titan last night. It took longer to read the instructions than it did to install it. It came with (at no extra charge) the brackets you need to install it around the bed system, without removing anything. Quick, easy and it looks very good. I believe I paid $338.00 for it at autoanything.com. They had the cheapest price I could find. Don't pay extra for a Lund. I'm pretty fussy about my stuff, so I would tell you if the Extang was a problem. It's not and I'm competely happy with it.
