How was the fitment on the fronts? I keep hearing that the new GW fenders are supposed to fit better, do they???
Oh yeah, enjoying watching your trucks transformation
They fit like S**T...Period
Not only because Glassworks has a few pieces you have to cut off to get it close to the body to line up, plus a LOT of massaging and sanding, but also because of all the BS that Nissan has on the truck to make it drive like a Benz instead of a truck like its suppose to be. That in itself makes it not worth doing. Lets put it this way, I can take a brand new set of Ranger fenders and have them mounted and lined up perfectly in no time what so ever, these took 7+hours and they look like crap, the headlights are NOT even close to being right. I might be able to get everything to fit better now that I have had some time to really think about what were the issues.
p.s. if you're going pre-runner and axing the rear bumper, or front shoot me a p.m. i've got some parallel parking love recently and i'm not sure i can pop it out..
I guess my 60 year old brain is starting to fail. The processing of information part is not functioning as designed. Can you tell us what you are trying to accompllish with this massive rebuild of the truck? Thanks.

Its so that it sits something like the truck below. That and I just cant seem to stop cutting trucks apart cause I love tools and using them.
Yellomantis-I saw you posted this pic(#2), and I had NO idea you even had glass, kind of tripped me out at 1st. I think I can get mine to fit better, but its going to take some time this weekend. I'll let you know what happens.
DeadRiver- I plan on getting rid of both bumpers, but its going to be some time before I can do that, right now I don't have the right tools, or the access to them for the next few months. They will be up for sale one day, I hope.
Got my AEM Intake in today, if I get time I will put it on tomarrow. Also ordered my Blacked out headlights on Ebay a few days ago, no idea when those will be here.
I think my Girlfriends cat was happier than me to see the box...
did you get the black projector headlights? they have nice matching tail lights.. i haven't found anything for the 3rd brake light though, just LED's. i'm torn between straight black or carbon fiber....
At 784 miles I finally got around to putting on my AEM intake, man what a diffrence. I have put intakes and exhaust on every one of my trucks over the last 14 years, NOT 1 has actually made the truck wake up like this one.
At 2400 rpm's I'm not even sure the truck is still running, once it hits 2500 its a whole diffrent story. Probably the best investment I have made. Probably going to be the most expensive one also due to stops at the gas station
I'm assuming that since you are making this into a prerunner type truck, you are putting on much bigger tires.
Do the new fiberglass fenders have bigger wheel openings, so you can mount the huge tires with less of a lift? Are they lighter? Both? Any other reasons?

They should! And they look like they make the fenders a bit wider too so the wheels will not stick out once teh aftermarket arms are on?
you make me feel better about all my door dings on the rear Panels lol.
