Did Nissan make the Titan in a "flex fuel" capable of using e85? What is the difference in fuel systems between E85 equipped and normal? I am considering looking into a conversion to run E85 for when it comes out here to Cali.
Through some research, I have read that it has a naturally higher octane rating compared to the chitty (91) fuel we get here in Cali. therefore, when I go s/c, I can run a little more boost than the next guy.
Is it even possible to retrofit a non E85 equipped Titan to tun E85?

They started making FFV Titan in 05. Not all are FFV, I don't think they're avaiable in CA. To convert would cost too much and not justified the saving cost. Last I check maybe about $2500 to $3000. You will not get as much milage using E85 compare to dino gasoline.

it may be cheaper in some states up to .50 but look what you'll get for MPG it's horrible fo long trips and ends up being a bit cheaper on long trips but you will stop to fill up more....
yeah .. per tank .. i had a roughly 2 to 3 mile per gallon difference when it came to usin E85 over Gas...yeah gas is more expensive but, per tank .. you definitely get more miles..no scientific testing here.. just divide the miles you got by the # of gallons ya just put in ..

I should say FFV on your hood sticker also. I have one 2005 Titan that was made in 3/05 that is not FFV and the Other 2005 is FFV and it was made in 8/05.
Don't know the exacts of the conversion but on Discovery chanel they were running a show about future cars and they said to convert a car to be able to run E85 would be about $150-$200, would need to changed out the fuel line and another part. The ECU should pick up the difference in fuel and adjust accordingly.

That special is what got me thinking about it.
