bedliner with a split??

Last night was messing with the bed extender and noticed about a 8 inch split in the spray-in bedliner. At first I thought is was a deep scratch, but when I looked close it was a tear. I can stick my fingernail in and pull back on one side a little bit, can't quite see if it is down to metal. I use my bed for moving concrete pavers, rocks and other yard stuff, but no abuse.

I'll be taking it it soon, but couldn't find any other instances of a non-bubble issue with the bedliner. Anyone else run across this?

I only have 15k so should be covered either way.

Thanks
Steve

Re: bedliner with a split??

Just a quick update. Of course the service mgr played stupid. "Oh, I've never heard of that before", actually he wanted me to talk to the sales department because it must be something that was added. He did not know that the LE comes with a factory sprayed in bedliner . Whatever.

Anyway, Nissan wanted him to take pics and send them somewhere, so now we wait.

Good news is that he definitely said it looks like a crack or split in the material and not any sort of scratch.

Re: bedliner with a split??

I have the same problem along with some chips. I asked the service guy over the weekend and he said they would also have to take pictures and send them into Nissan.

Re: bedliner with a split??

Dealership called, they have to take pics of my Vin plate and odometer. Sounds like they don't believe the dealership! Maybe there is more to the story than the service mgr is telling me.

Re: bedliner with a split??

sucks for you guys i read on here everywhere that everyone hates dealerships !!! i have 3 GREAT dealerships within miles from my house. but anyways for the bedliner problem it should be covered, when getting my old titan worked on employee was telling me how they bubble and crack and that its just because the cheap material nissan uses and the hott sun in florida. but when that does happen ( doesnt matter how many miles) but they have a special deal through linex and they will re do it for free with a much better spray in, factory one feels like sand paper no lie but this one is thick and worth it ! thats my .02 for the morning
