Unhappy help !!! CHROME WHEEL TROUBLE..

Howdy..
My father bought 2005 CC 4X4 XE with chrome package(brand new) in jan of '06,
Just recently he has noticed that the wheels have bubbles underneeth the chrome skin, since it was part of the original package shouldn't this be covered under the warranty??, he has only 8k miles on it. Please advice if its covered under warranty,,
Thank You..

Re: help !!! CHROME WHEEL TROUBLE..

My dealer wouldn't warrant mines. They said my truck didn't come from factory with chrome wheels, they said the original dealer probrably had them chromed' so I checked with dealer in Houston and they told me they don't send wheels off and have chromed. I have the exact chrome wheels as are on other Nissan trucks. So in short I think my dealer is full of ****. By the way I have two wheels bubbling and the other two are fine......P.S. My truck is an 04 K.C. SE and it is still under 36000 mile warranty.......

Re: help !!! CHROME WHEEL TROUBLE..

chrome naturally tries to pull away from its substrate. submitting it to daily driving doesn't help it either. chrome is only for show cars in mho. i love the high polished aluminum wheels i got from Centerline. you never have to worry about dings or rust or bubbles. sure, polishing is a pain, but it beats replacing damaged chrome.
