keyless entry?

Hi everyone, I've been reading around on this site for days now. Lot's of good info!

I have a 2007 CC XE without keyless entry, how easy/hard is it to add keyless entry to it? It had it when I test drove it at the dealer, but when I declined the "alarm" and picked up the truck it didn't have the key fob anymore.

It seems that there was something that was attached under the dash, my brother in law has a "karr" attachment under his dash.

It appears that it would just be something that I could plug in and be all set, am I correct?

Re: keyless entry?

Do you have the power door locks and TPMS (Tire pressure monitor)? If you have those on your XE all you have to do is get a key fob (Ebay have them cheap) and program it. There's a procedure to program them in the How to section. If you don't have power door lock you're SOL.

Re: keyless entry?

Like Baseballfanz said if you got power door locks it should work, unless the feature is not turned on in the BCM. I had one of those a couple of weeks ago where it was not turned on in the BCM. Also the keyless entry and the TPMS use the same receiver for the BCM located behind and just to the left of the right side air vent.

That's all you need to do, if it don't come with instruction for programming let me know. The instruction is here somewhere or I can post it for you again if needed.

Programming instructions are the same no matter what Nissan vehicle you get into.

1. Get in the vehicle,
2. Insert and remove your key in the ignition in rapid succession several times, anywhere between 6 and 12 times, until your hazard lights flash,
3. Turn your key to the ACC position (after hazard lights flash),
4. Press the LOCK button on the key fob,
5. Turn your key to OFF position,
6. Remove key from ignition,
7. Press unlock button on key fob to test,
8. Repeat same procedure for all other key fobs.

:-)

Should work, I don't see why it shouldn't for 07.

Re: keyless entry?

I can't get my hazard lights to flash?! I'm putting the key in and out in quick succesion (up to even 30 times), and no luck.

any pointers?

Hmm.... not TOO rapid... should've been more clear. Try slower... but not too slow. Don't know how to quantify it.

Re: keyless entry?

this is driving me nuts! I've tried slow, fast, real slow and nothing seems to work. I'll have to try this again tomorrow.

should I be putting the key in and out slow, or just inbetween trys?

what would be a tell tale sign that it's not turned on in the BCM? would the hazard lights not flash?
