No Running lights!!!

OK let me start off by saying that I towed my boat and numerous trailers all last year with no problems. Well this year when I hooked up to my trailer i noticed that my running lights on the trailer were not on. Thinking that maybe my trailer didnt have a good ground i left anyway. Well when i got to the road I still didnt have any running lights!! So I went back home and checked with a test light and nothing!!! My brake lights work and so do my turn signals!! I tested my adapter with my wife's armada and it works fine...does anyone know what may have caused this or know the fix? any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!! thanks

If your running lights on the truck are OK, check the wiring harness to the tow electrical connector and the pin in the connector of the truck. If you have no running lights on the truck either, check your fuses.

OK I brought my truck to the dealer today and they changed something called a BCM. I guess that stands for Brake Control Module? I will be going home soon to see if that worked. The dealer said it fixed it but you never know for sure unless you try it yourself!!!! thanks for the tips!

Body Control Module

There was a recall related to trailer wiring for the BCM harness on some of the earlier trucks, but I thought they had everything worked out by 2006.

LOL this sucks!!! Still no go! I did happen to find a burnt fuse under the hood though so back to the dealership I go! Now I have no brake lights only turns left working. and best of all still no running lights.

Problem fixed finally!!! After a BCM recall and the burnt fuse everytihng works again! Dealership said that since I leave my 4-flat adapter in the factory harness it shorted out and blew the fuse... so i should take it out after i tow everytime. I think I can handle that
