Re: New Tundra at Race Track

With all the HP it has - sounds weird. I remember seeing video where they compared tundra to other trucks. Now I can laugh at it

Re: New Tundra at Race Track

I've got a friend who raced the all mighty tundra. He had a 04 titan cc 4x4, and he won the race. The tundra was the 5.7 . When I asked what mods did he have on his titan, he told me a K& N cold air and that was all. He told the reason why he won, when they lined up he was in 4 low and ran threw the quarter. He said you could go 90 mph in low and not hurt the truck. I won't be trying that with my truck. What do you guy's think?

That raceway is about 2k above sea level right? If so, then that would be about a 15.1 in my neck of the woods (KCIR is at 880 feet). Still rather disappointing. Were they having traction problems? I'm pretty sure they have limited slip in those new 5.7 Tundras.

I hope there is one at our track sometime this year. I'd like to run one just for the halibut. What was his "excuse"? lol.

Re: New Tundra at Race Track

The commercial was just on with the frag race towing 8500 pounds. I'd like to see if its true in the real world and not on TV.

I would not make a habit out of doing that. One or two times probably wouldn't hurt any. I really dont think it makes that much of a difference anyways.

Re: New Tundra at Race Track

There's no way you'll win any race, let alone one with a new Tundra, while in 4LO.

Re: New Tundra at Race Track

Check this one out.....

http://www.dragtimes.com/Toyota-Tund...lip-11577.html

There is another drag time listed for a Tundra....one thing I don't get...they don't list all there times...60', 1/8 mile, all that.

Nor do they post there actual slip.

But this link is too one doing 15.7!
